Cove Point LNG Feedgas Flows Down 44%

Feedgas flows are down 44% at the one-train Cove Point LNG export terminal after an explosion July 25 shut down part of the Columbia gas transmission pipeline, according to Bloomberg.

  • As a result, export flows from the Cove Point are currently 0.45 bcf/day, their lowest level since March. They were around 0.8 bcf/day on July 24
  • Pipeline operator TC Energy Corp had earlier issued a force majeure to its customers following the explosion.
