CPC Oil Exports to Fall in January

Oil exports from the CPC terminal are set to decline to 5.4mn tons in January, down from 5.6mn tons the December plan, two industry sources told Reuters.

  • CPC Blent oil loadings will decline by around 4% on the month on a daily basis, Reuters calculations showed.
  • Actual December loadings are likely to be above the plan as the terminal is processing volumes postponed in November, when a storm led to output cuts in Kazakhstan and exports falling 30% behind that month's plan.
  • Including the November barrels, total December exports of CPC Blend may reach 6.5mn tons, traders say.
