CPC Oil Link Risks More Halts On Lack Of Spare Parts

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is warning of the potential of more stoppages because of a lack of spare parts, according to a statement by the consortium.

  • The current lack of spare parts “creates risks of oil-shipment halts”, it said.
  • The terminal has suffered major halts in March and August after storms damaged its moorings.
  • Repairs were only completed this week and all three moorings are functional now.
  • CPC shipments totalled 49.8mn t from 1 Jan to 15 Nov, compared with 51.8mn t in 2021.
