Crude Futures and Time Spreads Fall Back

Crude future and time spreads decline with Brent and WTI now down about 2.5% on the day on low daily traded volumes.

  • Brent front month has fallen from a high of 85.5$/bbl late yesterday ahead of the contract expiry at the close tomorrow. The Dec23-Dec24 spread is trading down from a peak of 4.68$/bbl.
    • Brent FEB 23 down -2.5% at 82.18$/bbl
    • Brent MAR 23 down -2.2% at 82.82$/bbl
    • WTI FEB 23 down -2.5% at 77.56$/bbl
    • WTI-Brent up 0.16$/bbl at -4.67$/bbl
    • Brent FEB 23-MAR 23 down -0.2$/bbl at -0.55$/bbl
    • Brent MAR 23-APR 23 down -0.04$/bbl at 0.06$/bbl
    • Brent JUN 23-DEC 23 down -0.35$/bbl at 2.34$/bbl
    • Brent DEC 23-DEC 24 down -0.73$/bbl at 3.71$/bbl
