OIL
OIL: Crude is under pressure in Asia-Pac hours, with general risk aversion
evident, and the shedding of risk assets in play ahead of the elongated U.S
holiday weekend. The formalisation of the Chinese legislation re: greater
oversight on Hong Kong security matters has weighed on risk overnight, with a
slightly stronger USD also adding some pressure to crude.
- Brief breaks below initial lines of technical support for both WTI & Brent
haven't held, yet, but the former still sits over $2.00 cheaper on the day, with
the latter ~$1.70 worse off.
