Crude Rebounds Amid Ceasefire Doubts

Crude has rebounded, likely in reaction to Al Jazeera rowing back on the certainty of a ceasefire agreement.

  • WTI MAR 24 down -0.1% at 75.76$/bbl
  • Al Jazeera deleted a previous tweet regarding the status of ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas.
  • Al Jazeera now reporting that Hamas received the ceasefire proposal “in a positive atmosphere” and a response is pending. The new wording is more tentative towards any agreement.
  • Crude had plummeted earlier after Al Jazeera released a headline which said, “Qatari Foreign Ministry: Israel agreed to the ceasefire proposal, and we have initial positive confirmation from Hamas.”
