Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is looking increasingly like a credible challenger to Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
- New Marquette Law School has released detailed poll data which shows Ron DeSantis with a marginal lead over Donald Trump in a hypothetical White House race.
- The data also shows them both trailing President Joe Biden which is a rare piece of good news in a lengthy period of negative poll results for Democrats.
- "In a head-to-head matchup, DeSantis is supported by 33%, while Biden is supported by 41%. A substantial 18% say they would support someone else, and 8% say they would not vote. In a Trump versus Biden rematch, Trump receives 33% to Biden’s 43%, with 16% preferring someone else and 6% saying they would not vote." Full article.
