US DATA PREVIEW
US DATA PREVIEW: Deutsche Bank economists Brett Ryan and Matthew Luzzetti said
the "main highlights" of "this week's holiday-shortened data docket are the
September producer price index (Thursday) followed by the consumer price index
and retail sales on Friday."
- They add "as a reminder, US fixed income markets will be closed on Monday in
observance of the Columbus Day Holiday. US equity markets will be open. The CPI
inflation data will garner the most attention. Headline CPI (+0.6% forecast vs.
+0.4% previously) should get a significant boost from gasoline prices, which
likely reflects some hurricane-related shortages. More important will be the
core CPI (+0.2% vs. +0.3%)."
