Deutsche ReGas Expects FSRU at Mukran by End of Winter

LNG terminal operator Deutsche ReGas expects to launch its FSRU import facility in Germany’s port of Mukran by the end of this winter according to LNG Prime. The mechanical completion of the connecting pipeline to the German gas transmission network enables first feed in.

  • Deutsche ReGas is currently waiting for “permission of early start”, which would allow a test operation of the terminal.
  • The Energos Power FSRU with a regas capacity of 7.5bcm per year will operate along with the FSRU Neptune in Mukran as part of the second phase of the LNG terminal taking capacity to 13.5bcm per year.
  • Energos Power’s AIS data on Wednesday showed the FSRU located in Denmark’s Fredericia after arriving during the weekend.
  • “FSRU Energos Power’s usage as LNG carrier is intermediate until “Deutsche-Ostsee” Energie-Terminal’s finalization.”
  • The LNG terminal was scheduled to come online end of February, a Gascade spokesperson said early January.
