Diesel Product Cracks Slowly Drifting Lower

Diesel crack spreads are drifting lower with the gradual return of US Gulf Coast refinery operations following the winter disruption easing the upside pressure on diesel.

  • High refinery runs and weak demand had gradually eased supply pressures since the start of November as global distillate stock levels have recovered.
  • Data released this week showed European ARA Gasoil stocks up from 29.7% below the five year average at the start of November to 11.2% below. US distillate stocks are up from 23.7% below to 7.7% below and Singapore Middle Distillates up from 41.5% below to 27.3% below.
  • US 321 crack down 0$/bbl at 33.89$/bbl
  • US gasoline crack up 0.5$/bbl at 21.92$/bbl
  • US ULSD crack down -1.1$/bbl at 57.8$/bbl
  • EU Gasoline-Brent up 1$/bbl at 8$/bbl
  • EU Gasoil-Brent down -0.9$/bbl at 35.28$/bbl
