DPK's Lee Narrows Gap On Conservative Yoon In Latest Poll

The centrist Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung has narrowed the gap marginally on conservative fronturnner Yoon Seok-youl in the latest Realmeter poll.

  • Preferred candidate for March 2022 presidential election: Yoon Seok-youl (PPP, Conservative): 45.2% (+1.2), Lee Jae-myung (DPK, Liberal): 39.7% (+2.2). +/- vs. 29 November-3 December 2021. Fieldwork: 5-10 December 2021. Sample size: 3,043
  • Yoon sits as the frontrunner, with incumbent President Moon Jae-in's poor approval ratings seemingly damaging his hopefull successor Lee's prospects of winning a second consecutive term for the DPK.
