Dragon Boat Tourism Above 2019 Levels - Ministry

Tourists made 106 million domestic trips during the dragon boat festival, a y/y increase of 32.3%, and up 12.8% from the same period in 2019, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Tourists attending night time attractions were up 8% y/y, with the Ministry noting a large increase in outdoor tourism such as camping and rafting, alongside usual activities such as visiting Hainan and cultural sites.
