DOLLAR: Drops as markets react to US Trump comments on China, adding that he
will be 'responding to China tariffs later on Friday'. USD/JPY was already
moving lower, possibly linked to the 1600BST fix, with added weight from the
tweets taking the rate from around Y106.74 to Y105.54. EUR/USD spiked from
$1.1053 (having met earlier reported option linked support into $1.1050) to
$1.1128 at writing. Cable also able to extend its recent recovery to $1.2280,
though seen meeting some resistance here, a break to expose $1.2300.
