Economist For Tebet Candidacy Declares Vote For Lula As Expected

  • Economist Elena Landau, responsible for the economic program of candidate Simone Tebet, declared her vote for former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the second round. (Globo)
    • This is in line with Tebet herself announcing yesterday that she would vote for Lula.
  • According to the report her vote is against Bolsonaro's re-election. After seeing the National Congress that was elected on Sunday, it is necessary to put the brakes on Bolsonaro. It is a conservative and right-wing Congress and with Bolsonaro, this combination is not healthy.
  • Another issue that led the economist to declare her vote for Lula was the environmental one. According to her, “Brazil cannot survive another four years of environmental destruction in this way”.
