EIA Reduce Shale Gas Forecast to 98.262bcf/d in September

NATGAS

Gas output in the seven US shale basins is forecast to fall by 0.146bcf/d to 98.262bcf/d in September according to the EIA drilling productivity report released yesterday.

  • EIA has revised the August shale gas forecast up from 97.972bcf/d to 98.409bcf/d.
  • Monthly changes per region in mmcf/d are:
    • Appalachia -22 to 35.748 bcf/d
    • Permian +35 to 23.667 bcf/d
    • Haynesville -93 to 16.339 bcf/d
    • Eagle Ford -41 to 7.496 bcf/d
    • Anadarko -61 to 6.600 bcf/d
    • Niobrara +12 to 5.108 bcf/d
    • Bakken +23 to 3.304 bcf/d
