EIA Revised Down Supply Deficit Forecast for 4Q23

EIA has revised down its forecast for the current supply deficit during 4Q23 to 60kbpd, compared with a deficit of 230kbpd during last month’s report according to the EIA STEO report from Tuesday.

  • Global liquids demand during 4Q23 is forecast at 101.62mbpd, down from 101.75mbpd last month.
  • Global liquids supply has been revised up to 101.56mbpd during 4Q23, compared with 101.52mbpd in last month’s report.
  • In 2024, the global oil market is forecast to have a supply deficit of 50kbpd, revised down from 550kbpd previously, as production forecasts have been significantly revised down for next year to 102.19mbpd, from 102.88mbpd previously.
