Electricity Minister Holds Briefing On Energy Action Plan

  • Impala Platinum said all 2,205 protesting mine workers have safely resurfaced following an underground strike over employee benefits.The mine had to halt operations, taking another hit after a November disaster at the Rustenburg facility. Impala said that it may take disciplinary action against the protesters.
  • BusinessTech reports that Eskom remains "some ways off of hitting its energy availability target for March 2024". The utility aims to reach an Energy Availability Factor (EAF) of 65% by then and 70% by March 2025.
