Free AccessEnergy price guarantee extended for 3 months as expected
- The government has confirmed that the energy price guarantee will be continued for a further 3 months at £2,500 rather than rising to £3,000 as had been announced in the Autumn Statement.
- This was widely expected as we noted in our Budget Preview, available here.
- There is no need at present to extend beyond Q2 as wholesale costs are due to see energy bills fall below £2,500 from Q3.
