ENI Fails To Deliver Feb LNG Cargo To Pakistan

The monthly scheduled LNG cargo from Eni to Pakistan LNG for February delivery has been disrupted due to an event of force majeure, Eni told Reuters.

  • ENI has a 15-year supply agreement with Pakistan LNG for the delivery of one cargo per month between 2017-2023.
  • Pakistan imported 9bcm of LNG last year, down from 11.2bcm in 2021, as the country struggles to procure LNG cargoes amid high global prices.
  • Pakistan has been turning to Russia for energy supplies and talks about oil and gas supplies are underway.
