Eni Supports Libyan Plans to Hit 2mn Bpd Production

Eni has had a meeting with Libya’s NOC stating intentions to maintain projects in the country and to invest in increasing the countries gas output as well as support plans to increase oil production.

  • “The CEO of Eni welcomed the NOC plan to increase the daily output of the Country up to 2 million barrels of oil per day and reaffirmed Eni’s support to reach this target for the mutual benefit of the parties.” Eni said in a statement.
  • Eni is the biggest international producer in the country.
  • Libya’s oil production has recently recovered to 1.2mn bpd under new NOC leadership that took effect last month. The NOC is now exploring ways to sustainably boost that production to 2mn bpd – a timeline for that is currently unclear.
