Erases Gains, Judo Bank PMI On Tap

AUD/USD prints at $0.6685/90, the pair was little changed in yesterday's dealing.

  • The pair was unable to sustain its Asian gains yesterday, pressured through the European session before weakness in US Equities, led by a decline in regional banks, saw AUD/USD give up all its gains to deal flat.
  • Resistance was seen at $0.6750, ahead of the 50-Day EMA ($0.6773) which presents as key resistance. Support comes in at $0.6650, March 21 low.
  • AUD/NZD was pressured, the cross was down ~0.5%. AUD/JPY prints its lowest level of 2023, the pair found support below ¥87 and pared losses to sit at ¥87.45/55.
  • In the metals space Iron Ore futures fell ~1.7% and Copper rose ~2%. S&P500 finished ~0.3% firmer, however the index finished ~1.5% off session highs. DXY was ~0.2% firmer.
  • Judo Bank flash PMI's are on the wires this morning, there are no estimates for the print.
