Erdogan Reaffirms Turkish Support for a Palestinian State

  • Erdogan held several calls with world leaders yesterday, speaking with Uzbek, Iraqi and Pakistani leaders – covering bilateral relations with each country, counterterrorism as well as regional and global issues, according to TRT.
  • In his address to mark Eid al Fitr, Erdogan pressed against Israeli activities in Gaza, and reaffirmed his support for Palestinians until they have an independent state. His comments follow the erecting of trade barriers between Turkey and Israel yesterday, with the Turkish government making the restrictions contingent on a full ceasefire across Gaza.
