EU Gas Market Still Faces Supply Risks Related to Russia: SEFE

The European natural gas market is still facing supply risks related to Russia, Frederic Barnaud, CCO at SEFE said.

  • “There’s always supply risk, still related to Russia, and the ending of the transit agreement with Ukraine, which would twist the balance,” Barnaud said.
  • “There’s also the possibility of more sanctions on Russia, and we are still at war,” he said.
  • Russia’s recent attack on an Ukrainian natural gas storage site highlights the supply risks, he added, as European traders are storing gas in Ukrainian sites.
