EU Gas Prices Sustain Fall


Mild weather and plentiful LNG is pulling European gas to its biggest weekly decline since September. Benchmark futures are more than 20% down on the week.

  • European and Asian prices have converged this week which could prompt LNG cargoes to start heading to Asia if sustained.
  • Winter storms in the US also threaten LNG supplies in the short term.
  • TTF JAN 23 down -5.9% at 86.5€/MWh.
