EU: Jan-Jun 2022 Funding Plan

EUROZONE ISSUANCE

In the January - June 2022 period:

  • E50bln of NGEU long-term bonds to be issued (including Green bonds) "to be topped-up by short-term EU-Bills".
  • This is a little lower than expected with a E150bln per year average having been pencilled in (which would have been consistent with a E75bln target for H1-22).
  • Other borrowing of E5.5bln in the Jan-Jun 2022 period (comprising EFSM, SURE and MFA).
  • 5 syndications planned (monthly between Feb-Jun):
    • Mon 7 - Fri 7 February
    • Mon 21 - Fri 25 March
    • Mon 4 - Fri 8 April
    • Mon 9 - Fri 13 May
    • Mon 20 - Fri 24 June
  • Monthly bond auctions from January (4th Monday of every month):
    • Mon 24 January
    • Mon 28 February
    • Mon 28 March
    • Mon 25 April
    • Mon 23 May
    • Mon 27 June
  • Bill auctions will continue on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
