EURO-DOLLAR: Euro was a major outperformer against the dollar and opened in Asia
at the upper side of yesterday's $1.1777 to $1.1849 range, firmer bund yields
were seen to underpin amid news of more German bond issuance than expected in
2018. There is no data or scheduled events in Asia likely to impact trading.
Local traders expect sideways consolidation ahead of the European open and
release of German PPI. Resistance is seen at $1.1863-68 (Dec14 high/61.8%
$1.1961-$1.1717), there is also trend-line resistance just above at $1.1872,
while initial support is found at $1.1823 (Daily cloud top). Euro-dollar was
last at $1.1841.
