European Gas Storage Injection Rate at 71% of Normal in June

The European gas storage injection rate has been just 71% of normal so far in June amid tighter imports supplies into Europe. European total storage was up to 70.54% full on 5 June according to GIE data compared to the five year average of 53.45%.

  • Stocks were 21.7% points above the average at the end of March but are now 17.1% points above.
  • Net European storage injections have averaged about 3,140GWh/d so far in June compared to the five year average for the period of nearly 4,390GWh/d.
  • Storage in Germany is at 190.8Wh (76.08% full), Italy is at 148.4TWh (76.04%), Netherlands at 97.9TWh (68.7%), Austria at 74.5TWh (76.8%) and France at 71.3TWh (54.07%).
