EURO-DOLLAR: EURUSD last trades a shade lower at 1.2235, having registered fresh
session lows on the back of weaker than expected German industrial production
data.
- In terms of the euro-centric risk events on Friday, the morning will bring
comments from ECB's Coeure, while Italy's political parties seemingly need more
time to come forward with a solution to forming a government.
- In terms of option expiries at the 10AM NY cut, notable areas of interest
include EUR542mln worth of 1.2200 strikes & EUR1.1bln worth of 1.2290-1.2300
strikes.
- From a technical perspective the Bollinger base (1.2215) has limited downside
momentum, although layers of resistance are accumulating, leaving the pair
looking heavy. Bulls now need a close above 1.2371 to gain breathing room.
