Familiar tones from Atlanta Fed President Bostic (non-voter in ‘23) as he reiterates that he favours one more rate hike followed by a pause, after pointing to inflation that remains too high alongside supply-demand imbalances that are “starting to narrow.” Bostic stressed the lags that monetary policy works with, alongside policy that is now in the restrictive zone. Bostic also flagged that tighter credit conditions are starting to “do the Fed’s work.”
