Farmers Hold Protest In Prague, ANO Vows To Overhaul Pension Reforms

  • Czech farmers will hold a protest in front of the Agriculture Ministry's headquarters in Prague. The farmers will voice their opposition to the current structure of the EU subsidy system and the European Green Deal. Separately, Hospodarske Noviny reported that the Agriculture Ministry will present a new system of subsidies and taxes for farmers amid their ongoing protests.
  • Alena Schillerova, one of the main opposition ANO party's most senior lawmakers, said that the government's pension reforms should be overhauled entirely and its key elements should be dismantled.
  • President Petr Pavel said that Czechia has managed to source hundreds of thousands of artillery ammunition rounds that could be transferred to Ukraine within weeks if other countries help fund the operation.
