Fed Appoints Reeve Director of Monetary Affairs

FED

Longtime Fed Board economist Trevor Reeve has been appointed as director of monetary affairs, succeeding Thomas Laubach, the Fed said Monday.

Reeve joined the Fed Board in 1998. In 2012, he spent a year as senior adviser to the U.S. Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. In 2014, he became special adviser to then-Chair Janet Yellen and was appointed deputy director of the monetary affairs division in 2017.

Laubach died of cancer earlier this month.
