Finance Minister Domanski Says No Need To Raise Budget Deficit Plan At The Moment

  • Finance Minister Domanski spoke on TVP Info earlier, with Bloomberg reporting that he said tax revenue is strong and for now there’s no need to raise the budget deficit plan for 2024.
  • Domanski said that GDP estimates for this and next year are being kept above 3%, although high interest rates are slightly curbing economic growth. The stronger zloty is also keeping inflation at a low level.
  • He also confirmed that the government had taken the decision to hike the excise tax on tobacco by more than planned.
