Finance Mins Approve 12 Member State Recovery Plans Including ES, IT, FR, DE

European Union finance ministers has approved the COVID-19 recovery plans of 12 member states, including Spain, Italy, Germany and France, which paves the way for the dispersal of EU grants and loans under the EUR750bn Recovery and Resilience Package funded by the Commission raising 'own resources' on capital markets.

  • Commission Exec VP Valdis Dombrovskis tweets: "GOOD NEWS - #Ecofin ministers gave green light to EU first 12 national recovery plans #RRFEU funding can soon start to flow to finance reforms & investments. Focus now = putting them into quick and proper effect"
  • Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany. Greece, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovakia, and Spain have had their plans for dispersing their allocation of funds approved by the combined group of EU finance ministers.
