POWER: Finland-Estonia Estlink 2 Outage Extended to 31 July 25
POWER
The outage at the 658MW Estlink 2 between Finland and Estonia on 25 December has been extended until 31 July 2025, according to the latest Remit data.
- The outage was originally supposed to last until the end of 25 December but was extended to 26 December before being pushed back to 31 December.
- The outage is due to a cable failure at the subsea connection in the northern Gulf of Finland, not onshore.
- The outage will not prevent the planned disconnection of the Baltic states from the Russian power network set for early February 2025, TSO Elering said.
