Finland could risk some power shortages in January, as one of the country’s nuclear reactors has been delayed by almost one month, grid operator Fingrid said.
- “Naturally, the uncertainty about the final schedule of Olkiluoto-3 increases the risk of electricity shortages in the winter season”, Fingrid system manager Tuomas Rauhala said.
- The commercial start of Finland’s 1.6GW Olkiluoto-3 nuclear has been delayed to 22 Jan, from 27 Dec previously scheduled. Test production could continue on 11 Dec the earliest, Finland’s nuclear operator TVO said.
