Firmer On Wider Impulse

JGBS

JGB futures added 31 ticks in overnight dealing, recovering alongside wider core global FI markets, closing just below best levels.

  • Post-Tokyo close domestic news flow was headlined by the cabinet approving the latest supplementary budget. Elsewhere, there was confirmation that 6-month Bill and 2-Year JGB issuance will rise to fund the supplementary budget.
  • These developments matched previously released source reports when it comes to issuance size and the nature of the funding. That should result in little to no market impact in the wake of the official confirmation.
  • Today’s local docket is headlined by the release of the latest survey of economy watchers and 30-Year JGB supply. BoP data will also cross.
