CHINA: Fitch Ratings kept its "A+" on China's long-term foreign-currency issuer
default rating, with a stable outlook, mainly driven by robust external
finances, strong macroeconomic performance and economic scale, according to a
note sent by the ratings agency on Wednesday.
- It is still possible for U.S.-China trade tensions to escalate again in the
year ahead, given the apparent wide gap in negotiating positions, Fitch said.
- Growth in 2019 and 2020 could decelerate to 6.1% from 6.6% in 2018, Fitch
forecast.
