CHINA PRESS: Foreign investors' demand for Chinese bonds was resilient in
September, Reuters reported Wednesday. Offshore investors held CNY896 billion
worth of Chinese bonds as of the end of the month, an increase of CNY38.7
billion over August, marking the largest rise in holdings by foreign investors
since September last year, according to calculations by Reuters based on data
from China Central Depository and Clearing Co. The strong appreciation of the
yuan and high yields of Chinese bonds contributed to the hike, experts were
cited as saying. (Reuters)
