France aims to prioritize investments upgrading its electricity network over building new interconnectors from 2030, RTE President Xavier Piechaczyk said, cited by Bloomberg. 

  • RTE plans to support the construction of battery projects in congested areas of the network.
  • Piechaczyk added that if Spain plans to build more interconnectors to send power via France to Eastern Europe, financing would need to be discussed at a European level.
