French Nuclear Output Reduced On Extended Industrial action

French nuclear reactor availability has been reduced by 4.63GW on Monday as workers continued strike action against the country’s new pension reform, EdF remit data show.

  • Workers at EdFs sites announced to continue strike action until 23 March. Strikes began 6 March.
  • French nuclear reactor availability has been curbed by 4.63GW, or 7.5% of the total capacity, on Monday 8am to 3pm, curtailing output at the Civaux 1, Flamanville 2, Blayais 3, Cruas 2 Tricastin 1, Tricastin 4 and Paluel 2 reactors.
  • French hydropower generation capacity has been reduced by 5.3GW on Monday.
