Fresh Central Bank Criticism From President Lula

  • The Brazilian President has continued his ongoing criticism towards the nation’s central bank chief, the first onslaught on Governor Campos Neto since the release of the Copom May decision/statement.
  • “It’s like everyone has to be careful and no one can talk about interest rates, except one man that seems to know more than 215 million people,” Lula said Thursday, referring to the central bank governor during a public event in Brasilia.
