FSRU agreement for Gasgrid Finland
LNG
Gasgrid Finland have agreed a 10-year deal with Excelerate Energy for the floating storage and regas vessel Exemplar.
- The vessel has the capacity to store 150kcm of LNG and over 4bcf/r in regas capacity. Finland and Estonia are joining together to help secure supplies away from Russia. At the start of April the two countries agreed to cooperate to lease a floating LNG terminal.
- The vessel will be located on the southern Finnish coast in the immediate vicinity of the natural gas transmission network with the aim to make the ship available for next winter. The vessel will be moored at Paldiski in Estonia if port construction work in Finland is not completed in time.
- The Balticonnector gas pipeline will be used to flow gas between the 2 countries.
