US TSYS: FTN's Jim Vogel said that "global markets were surprised by the failure
of Angela Merkel to form a new coalition government after a convincing win in
September."
- He added Treasuries "have little bond-specific news to consider before
Wednesday's release of October durable goods and the FOMC minutes. Even the
traditional pre-holiday jam of early Treasury auctions won't arrive until next
week due to Thanksgiving's early calendar appearance. Tax reform will stay in
the headlines this week, but we can't recommend chasing individual stories too

holiday. Congress still faces long odds, but the playbook on tax reform is
better developed than 2017's earlier efforts on healthcare legislation."
