Further Shake Up At The CBRT

To recap, President Recep Tayyip Erodan has appointed a new deputy governor to the CBRT to join the recently installed Sahap Kavcioglu as the central bank chief. Mustafa Duman will replace Murat Cetinkay and will fuel speculation that the shakeup of leadership at the CBRT will usher in a return to more unorthodox monetary policy. The lira sold off yesterday evening following the news and has remained offered this morning. USDTRY currently trades at 8.2556, returning to the November ranges.
