Futures Firm Alongside Core Global FI

JGBS

JGB futures benefitted from the general drivers of richer core global FI markets in the overnight session, leaving the contract +15 at the close of post-Tokyo dealing.

  • Local headline flow has been relatively muted since Tuesday’s close, which will leave adjustments to Tuesday’s wider price action the fore at the Tokyo open.
  • Looking ahead, BoJ Rinban operations covering 1- to 3- & 5- to 25-Year JGBs and an address from BoJ board member Nakamura headline the domestic docket on Wednesday.
