Futures Recover From Lows On Gilt Bounce, PPI Data Die

JGBS

JGB futures shed 3 ticks in overnight dealing, recovering from worst levels alongside Gilts & Tsys during the second half of the post-Tokyo session.

  • Note that cash 10-Year JGBs failed to trade for a fourth consecutive session on Wednesday, with 10-Year yields operating around the upper end of the BoJ’s YCC band.
  • The London afternoon bid in core global FI markets could provide a modest catch-up bid for the wider JGB space during early Tokyo dealing.
  • PPI data headlines the domestic docket on Thursday, with bank lending data also due.
