Gazprom To Halt Flows On Scheduled Power Of Siberia Maintenance

Gazprom will carry out planned maintenance work at the Power of Siberia gas pipeline from 28 March to 4 April, the firm said.

  • During the period, gas transportation will be suspended.
  • Russia is exporting natural gas via the Power of Siberia pipeline to China.
  • Russia and China have been in negotiations for a Power of Siberia 2 pipeline project that would have a capacity of 50bcm, which would almost entirely replace the flows that are no longer flowing to Europe via Nord Stream.
