US TSY FLOWS: Generally quiet overnight w/Tsy futures trading steady/weaker in
the long end, near middle of narrow overnight range on moderate volume
(TYH>260k). Equities little firmer (emini +3.5, 2641.75), gold little weaker
(XAU -0.72, 1275.39), oil little weaker (WTI -.35, 57.12).
- Asia, early bid was short-lived, Tsys traded steadily lower into London open,
sources reported light buying from pension funds and insurance portfolios, Asian
real$ sold intermediates on back of firmer US$ vs. Yen.
- London, Tsys rebounded, following EGBs lead amid ongoing EU/UK Brexit snags.
Flow included credit-tied and prop acct buying in 5s and 10s, real$ and bank
portfolio selling near highs in 30s.
- Swaps, spds running steady to mildly tighter in wings, spd curve flatteners
noted in 5s vs. 7s and 10s, 10s30s. More recent $123k 2/4/5 fly, receiving 5s.
- Eurodollar futures, trading steady/mixed, short and long end of strip
underperforming on modest volume. Sellers in short end as US$ LIBOR continues to
set' higher, 1M +0.0114 to 1.4032% (+0.0238/wk), 3M +0.0068 to 1.5153%
(+0.0207/wk).
