German and Dutch LNG Imports Up To Around 45mcm/d

The three new German and one new Dutch import facilities are now sending out around 45mcm/day combined into the Dutch & German gas pipeline networks according to ICIS.

  • The terminal at Eemshaven in the Netherlands started last September and is now running actively after halts in December and January.
  • Germany's Wilhelmshaven facility started in December and has been running fairly consistently since then.
  • The Deutsche ReGas project at Lubmin has got off to a slower start with operation complicated by offshore storage and onshore regas, with a fleet of shuttle tankers transferring the LNG between them.
  • The Elbehafen LNG terminal at Brunsbuettel has now started send-out at low rates.
