BUNDS: German bond futures have extended their gains today despite easing from
best levels, with the 10year now at 163.32, up 2 ticks on the day and remaining
above yesterday's highs. 
- Risk sentiment soured following the lack of positive comments on trade
relations with the US in President Xi's speech despite the leaders' assurances
of continued economic reform efforts. 
- Bunds are outperforming the Bobl and Schatz today after recent
underperformance, with the larger curve flattening trend remaining intact. 
- the space has underperformed the US over the past week largely thanks to the
less aggressive drop in equities which has prevented a sharper fall in
breakevens.
